Hitachi Carb Emissions Question

Recommended Posts

not really, you can but it gets messy.instead go to the junkyard and pull of a 32/36 weber carb with electric choke.you will need an adapter for aircleaner and so it can mount to the manifold but its 100% worth it.more power, better economy if you keep your foot out of it.and it gets rid of those emissions junk.

thanks for the info. one of the junkyards in portland actually holds all subarus for me and my girlfriend- calls us when they come in so we get the pick of hte litter or if we want to buy a whole car before it goes into the parts bin so it shouldnt be hard to find. do they say weber on them?

Once you've seen a 32/36 you'll recognize it right away. Typically you find them on mid-80's pic up trucks but I've once seen a pair on a 3 liter BMW sedan.

You can see more pics at http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/photos/showgallery.php?cat=812

This is a DGAV 32/36 which is a mirror image of a DFAV 32/36.
