970subaru
anyone done some dune running in a suby? how well do they do?(I got about 170 horse). what tires? I was thinking some snows with maybe 10psi? is sand going to totally screw up my car by getting everywhere? anything I should do to the car before going in the sand? a fast suby like a ea82 or GC ejturbo with some forester struts and paddle tires would probably kick some rump roast. LiftedHatchSubie
I've gone on the dunes in Florance,OR and Winchester Bay, OR. Completely stock 1986 GL hatchback, EA81 with normal street tires aired down to 10 psi. came across another mid 1980's GL wagon with ATV wheels/tires with adapter plates he had made....we ran all over the dunes. I've been back a few more times. :headbang:Have fun!! ~~Lucas

LiftedHatchSubie
how was traction, and did you ever get stuck? Never got stuck and even got a to tow a Ford Explorer off the sand to a gravel access road...was pretty funny to see. The two gals he was with didn't look all that impressed with his ride...LOL:banana:
