HATCHY
I;m having axel problems, serious eating of axels. and someone told me that the pitch rod might be the cause. Im not sure where abouts the pitch rod is.. im thinking its the one that hooks on to the control arm..if so i think i bent that up when i smashed down on my control arm.. Roundeye
Its under the spare tire in the engine bay. One end hooks to your engine at the center, upper rear point (near the timing cover) and the other hooks to your body. Its a kinda short thin rod (around a foot long) with large ends on it. The ends have rubber isolation mounts in them. In the above picture, put your pointer on the right tail light of the WRX in the background. Pull straight down all the way to the bottom of the picture. That rod that runs up and to the right is the pitch rod.
ezapar
Check your motor mounts and tranny mounts. Faulty ones are BIG contributers to boot death and axle stress. Erither that or let off the gas a little. The red arrows point to the "pitch rod" or "engine stabilizer".
