Help... my loyale got mad at me!!!

Recommended Posts

OK, so Here is the story..

I have done alot of work on my EA82. but now.. I have more issues.

I have a blown head gasket... I just replaced the heads not that long ago (with new gaskets) but I used the old bolts... Probable loosened up now.. but needless to say.. It burns and leaks antifreeze..

My Tranny is leaking gearlube. Looks like it is coming from the half shaft seal but not sure if that is a replaceable seal.

and The CV boot is split and now it started clunking.. I need a new axle.

SO, anyone got any ideas for a good parts distributer or the best way to fix this stuff????

with all this...I have been saving my cash for a lift kit from BYB but .. I guess I should keep the car running before I spend $500 on a lift...

so yea... any ideas would be cool..

Thanks:headbang:

K - first of all, did you have the replaced heads resurfaced? torque down in correct pattern?

gearlube leak is not that bad an issue - the seals are replaceable, but you want them from the dealer - www.halspartsandservice.com can get them for you easily (I replaced mine recently) - they are specific left/right too, so specify which you need - ask about the install proceedure too - because it is very specific, but not too hard

the CV axles are available from everywhere - some are better than others - there is a place that does high quality work out of south florida, but I dont know their name

good luck!!

Hey thanks for the reply. I Bought new heads from the dealer.. before I knew about the small cracks between the intake and exhaust valves that happens all the time. I did have them all torqued totally down... the only thing I can think of is that the block is not flat or the car got hot and I didnt notice it.. ohh well...

thanks for the website..

Chris
