ClutchCrusher
I just bought my '86 GL 4X4 2-D hatch and I love it! Is there any place in the Seattle area to get used/new parts, or reliable work done? Please help! I really want to do right but this little car, I've always kicked myself for selling my '91 Justy 4X4. Also, in general, what other Subie models can I swap parts with? Turbone
Sometimes the late model EA81's and EA82's get mixed up. To ID your engine, look at the front left. There is a stamping that will say one of the 2 I mentioned. This way you will know which parts to get for your car. There is a 85 and up EA82 2dr with a Hatch that we call a 3dr Coupe. The EA81 2dr Hatch is just that, a Hatchback. Caleb is pulling your leg, btw, hard too. There is a verylarge group of Subaru enthusiast in this area, I live in Bonney Lk with a few others real close by. This is what my EA81 Hatchback looks like.......... Just a little modified:D Aarons in White Center has parts, Lynwood PAP and Tacoma have parts also.
edrach
Welcome to the Board. Turbone's advice is good. I try to do as much of my own repairs if possible, but when I have to pay someone else to do it, I go to Smart Service in Shoreline. Good luck with your new purchase. http://www.smart-service.com/

The other day I noticed the Oil Pressure gauge will varies form 25 to 50 or almost 70 is that normal is my oil pump wearing out? Who knows where to get new rear suspension, what brands to stay away from? I'd like to upgrade to somthing more suited for some real off-road abuse? Any knowledge helps! What are a few things I should watch out for, on a '86 2-D hatch with 148K? I've got to tell you Turbone, I'm drooling over your car, that's the direction I want to head!
