Caboobaroo
if it has no pushbutton for the 4wd, then its going to be the 4EAT automatic, which they put in some '88s and more '89s. My'89 RX had one... until I swapped it with a manual RX tranny:D

WagonsOnly
However it was introduced midyear. The first build dates for the '87 AWD tranny models were in 12/86 and 1/87. My mom used to have a FT4WD 4EAT turbo GL-10 wagon.
GeneralDisorder
All the top of the line "Full time 4WD" auto's were the 4EAT. They aren't any more uncommon that other top-of-the-line models. I see em here in the junk yards all the time. In fact the Full Time 4WD manual is much harder to find. Had one in a wasted 88 GL-10 turbo sedan. Offered it to the board with all the wireing and computer and no one wanted it. Crushed it. GD
WagonsOnly
Come to think of it...the RX wagon you sold me originally had a FT4WD 4EAT in it too.
kingbobdole
Seems every time I find a pre 90's wagon or sedan GL-10 turbo with MT-5 FT4WD and a diff lock in a junk yard... it still has its LSD...(which I take )
Caboobaroo
There's another rare car in a scrapyard in town. Its a '85 RX sedan, still has the LSD in the rear for now. I saw this car over a year ago, the same time I was lookin at buying my '89 RX from another yard. It sucks cause now it sits on a scrap pile with the drivetrain ripped outta it and the body is beat up now...

eponodyne
Is that the transmission that feeds drive to the rear wheels all at once with a kind of a BANG so you go from snowplow understeer to whiplash oversteer in the blink of an eye? I've got one of those in my '90 wgn.
