subaru_styles
well i just picked up a mint (minus the yellowed headlights:rolleyes: ) green 92 legacy wagon for my brother and got a couple quick questions. 1)fan doesnt work on 4. is this an issue of cleaning/repairing the control unit or is there a resistor located else where? 2) it has the auto seatbelts, which work fine. however on the cluster the seatbelt icon blinks. is this a sensor problem. im guesing the car can't tell if the buckle has motorized itself back to the driving posistion. *Edit* i came across some info to clear the "code" of the flashing icon by pulling the #22 fuse? Legacy777
Check out www.bbs.legacycentral.org If the fan doesn't work on position 4, then it's probably not the resistor pack....since full power should be going to the fan.

Legacy777
What codes did you get from the seatbelt computer? Did you look at this? http://www.main.experiencetherave.com:8080/subaru_manual_scans/FSM_Scans/autoseatbeltdiag1.jpg http://www.main.experiencetherave.com:8080/subaru_manual_scans/FSM_Scans/autoseatbeltdiag2.jpg http://www.main.experiencetherave.com:8080/subaru_manual_scans/FSM_Scans/autoseatbeltdiag3.jpg

Jerry DeMoss
(minus the yellowed headlights:rolleyes: ) If you ever want to try to fix that problem try the permatex brand headlight restorer.I picked some up at pepboys and tried it on a couple vehicles from work and I have to say I am pretty impressed.Pretty self explanatory. You start with about 1000 grit wet sand paper and end up with around 2500 grit and then use a glazing compound to finish it off.Good stuff.Nice score with your new car. Legacy777
Do you get a key in ignition beep/buzzer when the engine is off, and door is open? If not, there's a chance someone disconnected the connector coming from the ignition switch assembly to disable to beeper. The connector is a 2-pin, T-shaped connector coming from the ignition switch. Look for it, and make sure it is plugged in.
