They aren't popular here due to the extreme elements(shamefully).In fact the non-turbo old carbuerated would be more popular than the SPFI if more available. I have read about enthusiastic projects elsewhere and am curious what is the most an EA82T has achieved. I did find an old rx (87ish 4 headlights) rusting away, (unless it just looks like one with a turbo) and may dive in to the challenge if owner lets go.I have fantastic luck with the higher compression and tinkering, no turbo or EGR at all. He has gotten roughly 230 crank hp out of one in his '87 RX coupe. I am currently working on getting more out of it, but I have tuning issues and some other things like that before I can take it to the awd dyno down in Colorado to see what I'm putting out. I found something weird back there, not a weakness but a bender/twister below rear window.... After that hunch I lost rear bearings simultaneously in a way that took the 2 rear wheels steering to the right. I search for this "torque on the body" stuff since my GM v8 and a t-top coupe (damn near catastrophe!). 4wd must be a big help to disperse power.Very Nice setup.
