scuba steve
I have a 91 loyale I'm working on for a buddy. When I received the car it didn't even run, but by replacing a few igintion related parts it's now running good. However, I can't figure out why the drivers side door controls do not work. they did when I got the car last week....it was the only thing that DID work!?!?! I cannot find the fuse or relay for this door. The fuse box lists #12 as the fuse for the windows, but that has no effect and is intact. All other doors and their window controls work fine...even with the #12 fuse out. Questions...WHERE is the correct fuse? Any thoughts why it worked last week and not now? I replaced the distrubutor, wires, plugs...nothing to do with the door. help!!
Cougar
My manual shows fuse #10 as the supply fuse for the window relay control. The fuse may be blown so check that first.
azsubaru
Those switches can get dirty and quit working. If no bad fuses, take the door panel off - not too hard on a Loyale. Make sure the window control panel is plugged in tight. If that's ok, then you can take the window control panel out, take it apart and clean it with a pencil eraser. Do it on a large clear surface, because there are some little parts in there that can go rolling off into oblivion.
