moosens
Well, thanks for the company guys, but I'm thinking it'd be a waste of time for anyone without a 70's vehicle....Or a guy who has to drive many thousands of miles. So,I don't know, have people been making deals with the guy? Am I going to get there and see why nobody cares to go there? Or do I have to gather up all those goodies by myself? Seahag1978
I would give my eye teeth to be there... you of all people know that. I can't even think about it till early July. Priorities rule. I would appreciate feedback from your visit. My wish list, A/C units for both '78 & '86... other parts sheet metal... etc. In other words... comestible parts I'll likely need within the next 15 years. My oldest grandson is 7, and the little "************e" is 4... they're their cars... maybe... if I ever tire of driving stick... NAH!
moosens
I absolutely promise to call you from there.I'll post or contact you to let you know when I should be there. That way if my pea brain forgets you can call me.:-p Seriously, think about the pictures and descriptions of what the boys posted and let me know what items you saw that you'd like. That goes for anybody. Game plan: Bring cash, pick through parts, wave cash and sing a real pretty song. He'll be better off with less to sell and a decent chunk of dough in his hands. That way he can lower the price on the big lot and maybe get a sucker....I mean buyer. Mary, and everyone,I really expect this stuff to be gone REALLY soon.I talked to him just a week or so ago and he's bent on clearing the barn out and using it for material storage for the 23? luxury homes he's building on the property. The door "re-manufacturing" business is not his priority for the barn space the parts takes up. Folks,I've been doing this for just a bit longer than the rest of you, except Todd.I've heard ALL the stories, including getting to one place less than TWO WEEKS after tons of sheetmetal, glass, and all the old shelf stock went to the crusher. Given this guy's situation I'm sure he's watching the interest rates, housing prices, etc. and if he has half a brain he's moving BIGTIME on this project before he starts losing hundreds of thousands of dollars to complete the homes. I personally know of an investor who built an entire neighborhood only to come up losing at the end because of bad timing. Another thing I'd like to put to people is to make sure you get my cell phone number from me if you're serious about purchasing from this stock but just can't make it there. It's going to be a weekend so I could care less about phone time. I just allowed myself to be ripped off to get a '72-75 Factory Parts Manual. That'll be there with me along with my '77-79 FPM and my '81-82 FPM Gonna be tough to get one past me.If it has a part number we/I should be able to identify it and make sure the end user gets the correct part. No Sleep 'till Harrisburg!!!!!!!!!!!!!
adam
hi moosens- hope your trip went well and those secret boxes of stuff on the bottom were filled with radiant discoveries. if you haven't left already or might go back, i sure would like for my 79 coupe a pilot bearing w/oil seal, those interior door latch cover thingies (2 black), black carpet, windshield gasket. funny-my adapter fabricater guy just called, looks like he found a bearing, so nix that part. i'll pay solid money- $20 or so for the latch covers- or whatever stuff goes for ya know -no really, if you pick em up for me I won't leave you hanging, also bearings, suspensions parts, pretty bobbles, are of interest. you might be able to sweeten the deal a touch when you make the geezer developer an offer. unless you hate me because I sold 75sube the fe engine:confused: i plan on keeping my car for a long time so any wearable type mechanicals (what aren't) are of interest. thanks, adam

moosens
I don't think so. No barn here,or even enough space to store most of that heap. Once again, take a look at the pictures and descriptions and see what you might be interested in.Then, email or PM me if you are a 70's owner and serious about getting something. At that point we can exchange phone numbers. On the day I go there we can call each other and verify items, and verify that you WILL come though with the money and NOT b/s around because I sure don't have extra money to cover people. I will do my best to print and bring the Wish List thread from the Historic Forum with me.Depending on how the day goes I'll do my best to let people know if items they desire are still left there in the barn after my departure. But if you call me,or allow me to call you it'll make life a little easier. THIS IS MOSTLY 70'S STOCK IF YOU DIDN'T CATCH THAT ALREADY SO PLEASE DON'T ASK ABOUT ANYTHING ELSE.Some people will see this thread for the first time and get excited. Please read the posts that are linked above before you get too crazy. moosens
Sorry guys and gals with cars built after 1977.There just isn't much at all for you folks. But keep reading, please. Most of the stock is '72-74,5...up But really,it's about 90% 1971-74 :-\ There is some ff-1 stuff and a few 360 items. For the Stage II '77 thru '79 car owner and up to '81 Brat there are just a few fenders.I think it was two passenger, one driver's,and maybe one or two more that were slightly buried. Not much else I'm sorry to report. ***No 1600 Y-pipe exhausts either, but there are 2wd rear sections and I saw a 2wd midpipe or two on the floor. ***No 1800 exhaust at all from what I saw.
