Roamer
The other day I was vacuming out my 1997 OBW, while I was in the cargo area and the wagon door was in the raised position, it suddenly fell on my head almost knocking me out. The hydraulic rod on the right hand side had fallen off. I picked up the rod (or whatever the proper name is) and put it back into place with no problems but yesterday again it fell out of place and the door almost taking my head off. So my question, is there a trick to make this rod stay in place? The rod seems to be functioning fine but it just wont stay put, am I missing a part? Logic would tell me that this part would need to be screwed in or something but I don't notice that on the other side, and it is holding in fine. Any thoughts would help, thanks in advanced.. tcspeer
Mine was doing this a while back, replace the whole thing they dont cost much and are very easy to change. You will need someone to hold it open while you install the new one.
