murphsubaru
Are the front wheel bearings on a 99 Forester as prone to failure as the rear ones??? My Forester has 90,000 miles, the rear ones have been replaced. I am hearing the rore of a bad wheel bearing again, could it be the front ones??? Were the rear bearings replaced with the Legacy type tapered bearings instead of the cheap and crappy caged ball bearings used in the Forester? Because if some pico-cephalic put the same type caged bearings in, you may be looking at rear bearing replacement part deux.
