WoodsWagon
That works for the inside DOJ, but the outside CVJ has to be "dissasembled" with a hammer. It's easy enough to shatter out the cage with a hammer, just be sure that you don't dent in the axel stub that goes into the hub.
leon
get yerself a 6mm pin punch... short one to start them off and a long one to knock em through.those 2 tools will be the best investment you ever make oh and i made about 6 months in RWD before i stuffed the gearbox. that was in an L series turbo touring wagon (GL10 i think) The splines on the rear output started wearing badly and kept trying to lock up the tailshaft AWD for me now:banana: can anyone else confirm this? the last thing i want to do is tear up my gearbox. did this car have the center diff in it? coz mine does not. i called up the subaru specialist and they gave me a quote for 200 dollars (Aus). so it looks like the next sunny weekend i will pull out the toolkit and start hacking away
