jonas
hi guys! well i was getting a really bad vibration/shudder thru my wagon. replaced bad cv, still vibration just not as bad. found out had seperated tire. replaced tires and had rebalance. still vibration continues but not as bad. replaced a toast (i mean totally shot!) rear u joint. better but not where i want it to be. was sure i put my driveline back on exactly how i took it off, so i went and took it back off and rotated it. put back on. again better but still vibrating. now i'm leaning towards just having my driveline rebalanced. i can spin my rear tires by hand and i do notice a slight wobble in the line. so should i have it rebalanced or try my luck with a J/Y driveline? or maybe a broken tranny mount? i havent looked for that yet. chazmataz
when do you notice it vibrating, under what kind of conditions????
jonas
mostly around 55 mph the worst. above that it smooths out but not totally. same as under 55.
jonas
i'll take notes of actual rpm tomorrow. my speedo (not the bathing suit kind you pervos! ) matches the vibration thru the steering/shifter/car.
Just-Y
as long as it doest do it at certain RPM just at a certain speed then you know full well that its a balance issue in the lower drive train , chances are if you see even a slight wobble in the D/L then its the most likely suspect , good luck !
