Call Independent Automotive in Sparks. I have delt with them many times. They are good honest people who specialize in Subaru's. And they don't charge an outrageous $90 an hour.

Oh and if you wanna drive over the hill you can check out Barscotti's Auto Care in New Castle. The owners name is Steve, I've met with him a few times, but I'm not sure what he charges an hour.

What kinda work do you need done? I can always take a look at your car for ya. Im pretty handy with tools! :)

thanks,

i have actually been there and they charge 85$/hr.

they seemed like great guys but they want 550-600$ to replace one cam seal in my 97 outback. that seems like an awful lot especially since the timing belt, tb pulleys, crank seal and waterpump are all new. i recently replaced but apperently i messed up one of my cams seals. i have a leak out of my tb cover. don't have time or tools anymore to fix myself. any ideas on how i could have messed it up? will it blow out or is there not enough pressure behind it? thnx

You might also try Norm's in South Shore. Subaru specialists. Been there many times.

I understand Chistensens Automotive is good and honest, they're just across from Lilly's tire in South Shore.

If you wanted to go to Carson City, there are a couple I could recommend there, too.

I've been most satisfied with Norm's and Independent though.

My 2 bucks
