Subyguy522
I found out one day after being pulled over in my 2000 Subaru Legacy that my plate lights were out. I went to the store and bought some license plate bulbs. After I installed them, they still didn't work. Did I blow a fuse? If so, where is it? In the engine bay fuse box or the fold out drawer fuse panel? Thanks for your help.
fastwgn286
do the ohmmeter test. its possibly a fuse (although it would power more lights than just the license plate ones) or a wire corroded, or something else. any other lights act funny? other taillights dont light while headlights on? Subyguy522
Ya thats whats weird, everything else is fine. I'll check for corroded wires tomorrow. Thanx
gbhrps
Since your licence plate lights are on the same circuit as all of your other running lights (parking lights), if you can't find the problem in the wiring to the licence plate lights, just run another set of wires from one side or the other of your tail light running light circuit. Good Luck!
Subyguy522
Turns out it was just a wire that got pulled out of the plug... easy fix
