AlpineRaven
Out of interest, is it possible for me to pull out/take off an transfer case from Legacy 4WD gearbox that has Lo Range (Hi/Fulltime 4WD) on it from a buggered (blown teeths in G/B 3rd gear?) dual range gearbox and fit it on end of Single Range AWD gearbox transmission that is on my 1995 Liberty? Cheers AP
Legacy777
How does the transfer case sit on the trans? Are there any additional supports/subframe bracing that might interfere? I haven't seen any of the legacy/liberty transmissions that are dual range, so I'm not sure how they're setup.
Hank Roberts
Check the 'Older Generation' forums, if your 5-speed comes from a 1988/9 or earlier 4wd wagon.
fastwgn286
what engine did it bolt on to? if its from an EJ motor onto an EJ motor, it should work very nicely (since subarus are like giant lego sets that can mix and match most parts) if its EA to EJ swap, then you need an adapter of sorts. Allied Armament has one for sale, unknown to me if it works or not.
