Jutboy
Hello all, My friend has a 93 Legacy (AWD, 2.2---I'm pretty sure) and his headlights keep blowing his fuse. He replaces it and it lasts for a while then blows again. Any suggestions? Anyone have the wiring schematics? I'd apprecaite any help - Justin
nipper
the schematics are in the haynes manual. SOunds like you have a bad pigtail with a voltage leak. nipper
kevinC
Had same problem on my 96. Soldered in a new pigtail and that cured the problem. mine was pretty burnt looking. cost around 3 bucks.
Cougar
If he is using higher wattage bulbs than original it may be the problem. Also check the wiring at the lights for damage and the fuse connection.
Jutboy
Sorry for the late reply....the wattage is the same stock bulbs but what are pigtails? Thanks - Jutboy
Cougar
I think he meant replacing the light sockets if they are damaged and soldering in new ones with short wire ends, or pigtails as they are called.
nipper
a pigtail is basically any connector with about 6-12" of wire on it It can be for a switch, a lightbulb, a relay, motor or a sensor. nipper
