skishop69
I was told that the EA81 had a forged crank and rods by the guys at RAM. If this is the case, does anyone know if the same applies to the ER27 since it's a larger offspring
calebz
The ER27 is not the larger offsrping to the EA81. It is however similar to the EA82, which, as far as I know has no forged parts. Can't speak about the EA81, since I have only owned one and never worked on it.
skishop69
Actually, it is. It shares the same bore, stroke, and bearing size. It just has two add'l holes. (1.8/2=.9 1.8+.9=2.7) (though more closely related to EA82)
