June 11, 200619 yr i bet it probly was taken off the road because of that collision on the drivers side, even though it looks to be an easy fix. that hatch definatly is saveable!! would be a great project!

Think the rust and the collison is that bad on this? How much work you think it will be to get this thing goin? Only 74k miles!
June 11, 200619 yr doesn`t look like it would need much, 2 front fenders, rust repair on lower 1/4s, 4 tires, but i would almost put cash on it that the engine and drivetrain would just need minimal cleaning, and work to get them going, it appears they stopped driving it because of that hit. did they accept your offer?
June 11, 200619 yr also, MAKE SURE you look over underneath it, the rails, and shock mounts especially, sometimes heavy undercoating will hide rusted areas underneath
June 11, 200619 yr Author yeah i didnt see any bad areas underneath at all..just the areas on the body. I have to call them tomorrow and find out because noone was around today at the place. Im thinking about offering 100-200 bucks for it if I get the feeling he may not want to get rid of it. Hopefully he'll just say take it!

June 12, 200619 yr Author haha yeah...Well im taking it sometime this week. Its definitely gonna be a project as its going to need some solidfying before it can be road worthy. Some rust and rot on it, but I hope it can be fixed with a few metal sheets. You guys have any suggestions???
June 12, 200619 yr I would first get your new panels and do your rust prevention and then I would go over the under side of the body with spray on bed liner stuff.I am now adicted to the stuff.Works great.
June 12, 200619 yr I found my rust under the basic floor mat area? Look under the car and see if you see metal........or carpet? ....I found carpet... The frame rails are strong on those cars. The rust in those pictures won't effect the structural integrity of the chassis.
