I got to watch flames all night, scary, waiting packed in case of evac... but myself and family/friends were blessed. Many others were not as fortunate. My Marine base was on fire too, right to the tarmac. Smoke now is causing terrible air quality. Hopefullly, worst is done, though we lost a firefighter I think they are saying $2 Billion damage. Boy, Ahnold has his hands full now. Thanks Qman for the phonecall. All is okay in my camp. I'll call you this weekend.

Meeky Moose
glad to hear your alright so far.. i always had a thought about keepin the house from burnin down.. runs some plastic pvc pipe along the tops of the roof so you can hook a hose to it.. turn it on full blast and let it run the entire time.. i figure with all that water soaking the house and yard around the house, it would at least help.. wouldn't care about a huge water bill if it meant my house not burning to the ground.. TheSubaruJunkie
Yes, its good to hear your ok. Do they have the fire contained at all? I dont think Arnold has his hands full, $2bill is nothing compared to the debt we have, just add it to our tab. -Brian
Mike W
Good to hear PK and company is ok. Man it must really suck being down there. Looking at the satellite photos I wonder how you can even breath with all that smoke. Maybe normal smog builds up a asthma tollerance or something huh? Anybody heard from Steely Del??? I got an email from him a few weeks ago but the computer puked and I lost it before I got to reply and now need his email addy. Anybody know what it is? Thanks.
