Brumby Boy
Will the Crank out of a 94 WRX EJ20T fit in a 92 liberty EJ22? They both have the same stroke. The reason im thinking of this is because my new liberty needs a new crank because of some 2nd rate mechanic who doesnt know how to line up a woodfuff key in a keyway:mad: at work we have a motor out of a 94 WRX which overheated. i would think the crank is still alright and if i fit new bearing it should be alright untill i can aford a new car or an ej25t and awd swap what do you all think? redwagon
It doesn't just fit, it's exactly the same part.
idosubaru
that keyway/crank is fixable. i'd save that time, downtime and money, fix it the easy way and start preparing for your new car or engine swap. post pictures of it, it's fixable. i've helped a couple people fix crank ends without tearing the motor down. there's even a company that makes a "kit" specifically for the EJ22 to fix this.
