76mgb88rx Posted June 19, 2006 Share Posted June 19, 2006 Anyone who is using an adapter to connect a cone filter to a hotwire MAF should give this a shot. Move the air canister bracket to the other side of the metal that it is attached to. You can just flip it and use one of the existing boltholes to hold it in place. If you do this, you can twist your filter around and barely make it fit in the area directly behind the headlight where the air canister was before. Mine is a super tight fit, but it was a tight fit when I had it in place of the factory airbox as well. It probably depends on the size of your filter. I would think that this would give you colder air because it is closer to the front of the engine compartment. On race day you could remove the headlight and it would be almost like ram air...maybe even use an extra headlight bracket to make a cool duct for it.
