downunder39 Posted June 20, 2006 Share Posted June 20, 2006 Hello subi friends, im soo disapointed. I am working to change my front disk brake (only the disk), and it`s soo stuck. I now gotta change the bearing, cardan joint and some other nuts that have broke as i was trying to get the disk out. Is there any trick for the other side if i dont want it to cost 4 time the price it could have cost. I was thinking to saw the disk in two parts... hooziewhatsit Posted June 20, 2006 Share Posted June 20, 2006 the rotors on soobs are different than most other cars I've seen. In our case, the rotor is bolted to the hub, so you'll have to remove the hub to get the rotor off. To do this you'll have to remove the 36mm axle nut, and the whole caliper assembly. Then you should be able to slide the hub/rotor combo off the axle, and replace the rotor. I/someone can give a more detailed process to get everything off from around the hub if needed.
