Mike Moore
From what I have been reading the spfi pistons will up my compresson. Going to rebild my EA82 and was wanting to get a little more out of it without spending to much. It only had 208k on it. Also do then make then over size might have to bore the cyclenders. and what kind of price am I looking at for the pistons. Mike
Jerry DeMoss
First of all yes you are correct the spfi pistons will bump up your compression.Secondly there is really no need to mess with the cylinders on a suby of that mileage. Many engines torn down at around that amount of miles have cylinders that are still within the original specs of when it was new. Also I have heard horror stories of people that sleeve their blocks and end up having it turn in the cylinder and thusly messing up the whole engine.I wouldn't recomend it as I am sure others will agree.Good luck. Jerry DeMoss
Forgot to add that you are probly better off just going with a spfi short block and then just put your heads on that.Probly cheaper to do it that way if you end up finding a good low mileage short block.
