mellow65
Ok I am on the hunt right now for this damn problem that I can't find. I have a 88 DL wagon with fuel injection. I am not getting fuel. I have fuel to the throttle body, ( pulling hose and cranking), I have tested the injector and tryed another one. Changed the fuel pressure regulator. Tested god damn every thing I can. Tested the signal coming from the ECU with noid light and was good. But nothing, I can't get the damn thing to shoot fuel. I did read somthing about a TBI resistor and how to check it, but I can't find the damn thing where the book says it is suposed to be. I even went to the junk yard for a search for one and none of them had this resistor either. Any help will be help. I am pulling my hair out. kingbobdole
So the pump is getting fuel to the injector, but the injector is not firing?... but its getting signal?
mellow65
I figure it's just not firing fuel. I have to think that it is clicking away, I tested it with a noid light. And the chances of two fuel injectors with good resistance being bad some how i figure was pretty slim. I was maybe thinking there was a blockage in between the fuel pressure regulator and the fuel injector. But I haven't got to check that yet. mirae1
I had the same problem with my 88 but my problem was self inflicted. I put an engine from an 86 into my 88 and hooked it up using the 86 distributer. It wouldn't read the rotation proper so the injectors wouldn't fire. It would start as long as I poured fuel down the intake so I assumed it was a fuel problem. Put the 88 distributer in it and problem solved.
