scrap487
wondering if anyone can point me in the proper direction to find some? I'm really looking for h4s cause I cant afford HID, but the local parts store doesnt show any listings for H4s and only show a low beam listing for HID. Matty B
Howdy scrap, Hella and Narva (here in Australia) both make a conversion kit from sealed beam ea81 lights to H4 bulb units. Solid heavy glass, not cheap, around $80US Both twin and single headlight styles available. Run them through relays and up the wattage to 130 watt high and 90 watt low bulbs. You should be ablle to get them through a hella dealer in the US. DO NOT RUN THEM WITH HOT BULBS AND STANDARD WIRING, MINE SMOKED LIKE CHEECH AND CHONG! GeneralDisorder
Discount import parts has the hella's for $50 each. You need 2 hi/lo's and 2 hi's. About $200, and yes - the wireing is not adequate, so some work and relays is in order. Very popular conversion with the VW crowd so we are lucky... Ever Victorious
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/165mm-H4651-H4656-H1-HID-EURO-CONVERSION-HEADLIGHTS-SET_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ33710QQitemZ7943941622QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWD1V This set will do one side of a quad-lamp setup (so you'd need two of these for all the lamps). I've used this brand before on my XT (dual lamp) and they look and worked great. Though heed the others' advice about wiring, the XT was designed to run its hi-beams off the same lamp. SOOBOUTLAW
JC Whitney has sealed beam to H4 conversion lenses. I think they're made by Pilot Motorsport.

carfreak85
Well, I just made an offer on an identical set of lights that are in the link above. Hopefully the seller accepts my offer and I'll have some kick rump roast lights soon.
