Recommended Posts

wondering if anyone can point me in the proper direction to find some? I'm really looking for h4s cause I cant afford HID, but the local parts store doesnt show any listings for H4s and only show a low beam listing for HID.

Howdy scrap,

Hella and Narva (here in Australia) both make a conversion kit from sealed beam ea81 lights to H4 bulb units.

Solid heavy glass, not cheap, around $80US

Both twin and single headlight styles available.

Run them through relays and up the wattage to 130 watt high and 90 watt low bulbs.

You should be ablle to get them through a hella dealer in the US.

DO NOT RUN THEM WITH HOT BULBS AND STANDARD WIRING,

MINE SMOKED LIKE CHEECH AND CHONG!

or you could get extra lights (offroad lights) and run 130W in those..I need to find an alternator from a chebby

maybe when I go to pull and save after getting a job..

ehh... yeah but this is gonna be a mostly street rig and I'm working on making it nice... all I have to say is comparing my 84s headlights to my dads 05 colorado is like comparing a candle to the sun...

This set will do one side of a quad-lamp setup (so you'd need two of these for all the lamps). I've used this brand before on my XT (dual lamp) and they look and worked great.

Though heed the others' advice about wiring, the XT was designed to run its hi-beams off the same lamp.
