bug squirters

Recommended Posts

What type of car are you working on?More precisely what year? Most likely check to see if you can hear the motor turn on when you push the squirter button. If that works then move on to the lines and make sure they aren't leaking. Then if that is good disconnect the lines from the squirters themselves and try to blow some air through it.Good luck?

My lines were full of debris. It looked like someone dumped a cup of dirt and leaves into the tank.

I removed the lines, saw how nasty they were, and decided it would be easier to replace them than to fix. I'm pretty sure I used 1/4" I.D. clear nylon tubing.

I also had to unclog the squirters. That was a pita. Lots of water, compressed air (from my mouth), and poking with a tiny sewing needle.

Of course that was all after I bought a universal pump for $17.
