jmathes
i got a ecu out of a junked 1800 turbo wagon, same place i got the motor. same year as my rx and nothing appeared to be wrong with the wagon ( hence why i picked it for the engine pull), well i plug the ecu in and try to start the car and nothing changed except now i'm getting no spark at all.. the mechanic well the car is says that the ecu has to be EXACT or else it wont work...is he right ? my ecu number was a 53, and the one i pulled is a 27..any ideas? TheSubaruJunkie
No clue, but i doubt the ECU is your problem. Did you look up barsotti yet? -Brian

suberdave
i know this much. the ECU from my 88 GL 10 will not work in my 87 GL 10. tryed it, just turned over. didnt check to see why cuz the old ECU worked just fine. just wanted an extra. -=Suberdave=- http://www.suberdave.com
Forkspear
If you pulled the ECU at the junkyard dont unplug it just cut the harness so you can compare it to your car. It should work if it has ALL the same color wires is in the same places.
