It has a 2.2 would it be easy too drop in a ej20t.. what would I need to change to do that? do i need to change the tranny and crossmember? I want one cause I saw 1 yesterday that looked and sounded so nice...
Manarius
EJ20T's came off of RHD cars, so I think a little bit of modding would need to be done there. One of the guys on the BBS dropped in a EJ20G, but I know it cost him a lot of money.
camosuba
but why? the ej22 is a much more reliable engine unless youre thinking of using a ej20 turbo that i can understand
Dr. RX
but why? the ej22 is a much more reliable engine unless youre thinking of using a ej20 turbo that i can understand I have been running an EJ20G from a 96 WRX in my 96 Impreza for almost two years now, the engine has over 100k miles on it an still runs like a champ. Maintenance is the most important thing in keeping these engines running, I change oil and filter every 3000 miles and keep my eye on the temperature guage. I expect this engine to last over 200k miles. This is my daily driver, round trip to work is 64 miles.
