dragonfire
ok i know i have seen post concerning legacy seats in brats and ea 81's i dont recall seeing anything for ea 82.( i tried a search but i got nothing on this particular subject unless i completly missed) so i bought the legacy seats any way. so this is how far i got. put my seat rails on the legacy seat so i know i have to modify the seat to take the rails. here is my problem. when i installed them i was able to adjust my slider but only one side locks and the other just slides on its own. so if get the seat where i want it the right side of the seat still moves. the legacy seat rails have locks on both sides the ea82 seat rails locks only on one side. has anyone had this problem with their seats from a newer car to an older one like this? is there a solution? thank you for reading this. any help is greatly appreciated. kdixey
I don't know if this will help but I put Impreza OBS seats in my GL and I did it by moving the GL seat rails to the Impreza seats. It involved drilling new holes on the bottom steel of the Impreza seats. I suspect with the interchangability of Subaru parts that the Legacy seats will be much the same. I explained the process here http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=60027&highlight=impreza+seat+swap Kevin
dragonfire
I explained the process here http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=60027&highlight=impreza+seat+swap Kevin i got that far but for some reason the seat will lock only on the handle side and the right side still moves, have you run into that problem? i think maybe the legacy seat may be to heavy??? well lets just say that custom fitting will be called for if no solution can be found for the right side not locking. thanks for the link. that was a big help getting the rails installed usmb does it again. Turbone
Theres a long piece of wire that runs from one runner to the other. So when it locks the adj side it locks the other runner as well.
