jonas
i have an '84 wagon and i want to put some lights on it. what have you guys used for inexpensive light bars?? i was thinking of using part of an old ski rack or something similar, something i could scrounge for next to nothing. i hope to put four square lights across the top and two roundies in between my push bar. suggestions? operose
I had a thule roof rack on my legacy wagon.. so I took a heavy duty sign post drilled out the holes a bit cut it to length mounted 4 lights on it "quick-mounted" it to the roof rack by drilling holes through the crossbar and putting some bolts with wing-nuts through wish I had some pics so it made more sense

CHIM
i used part of a stock subie rack and mounted it to the cab in front of my rack
TheSubaruJunkie
I was going to suggest that as well. Ive used the stock EA81 rack rail and mounted it to a bumper of mine, then used the threaded inserts to mount lights. You could screw the rail into the hood, but seal it with something so when it rains you dont destroy your interior. -Brian
