buzzcon
I got a rear hatch spoiler for my 88 gl wagon . Now all I have to do it, is get it mounted to the hatch. I tried aluminum threaded rib nuts, but the threads stripped out; they weren't strong enough. Then I tried going thru the back way, but the drill would come out on a radius; so that's out. The holes I have, on the hatch now, are drilled to 1/4", for the rib nuts. So, how do you guys get those cool looking spoilers to stay on there, anyhow? Help! Thanks ~Myles~
Numbchux
Most of those that have them, got them from the factory. I put one on a car that didn't come with it. just measured it about 6 times, held it up to make sure everything lined up. and drilled 4 holes all the way through. then put long bolts and nylock washers on the back. worked great! it's been on there for about a year now, lots of time at ~75mph.... if you do it that way, make sure you cut off any extra bolt...otherwise it'll hack up your weatherstripping :-\
buzzcon
Most of those that have them, got them from the factory. Okay, thanks. I'll give it a try. I was just worried about coming out on that radius. I'll let you know how it worked out.
