mykingcrab
Im not sure about prices in seattle, but when i lived in southern cal in 1992,used japan engine was the way to go for me. I had an ea81 and replaced it with a low milage (dual carb) EA81 engine complete.I chose from a room full of subbys, and found the perfect engine that ROARED. air cleaner, alt.everything, and spottlesly clean. the guy told me that the engine was made in 1990. just got a fresh container ,and man my 81 gl dual range brat flew:burnout: then.I paid $ 395+tax. then and my freind and i went back to the same place 4 months ago (march) 2006 and they still had the same older style engines that were built only a couple years ago.and they now get $495+tax ea81/ea81t, ea82/ea82t $500+tax and er27 6cyl$550. the svx engine looked simalar but was $700.and was A BIT different. they had alot of other sube motors, didnt pay attention, didnt need one. the place was in Ontario Ca.Ill do a google search, p.s. they do cost as much as a beater sube,BUT IF YOUR NOT AN ENGINE BUILDER, THERE IS NOTHING AS GOOD OR AS STRONG AS A ORIGINAL FACTORY BUILT LOW MILE ENGINE.AND YES THE EA82/EA82TURBO ALL HAVE THE NEWEST UPDATED GENERATION CASTINGS.IN THIS CASE YOU DO GET YOUR MONEYS WORTH.THEY SELL TRANNYS TOO.MAYBE WE CAN GET IMPORTED ASIAN EJ D/R TRANNYS THAT THEY PUT IN THEIR CARS.ILL CHECK
