Jibs
Why do some brats come with the brat targa stripe and some don't? I think I may have heard it was a dealer option, but was it also a case of a GL model versus a DL model? Thanks.
Zefy
from what i understand it was standard for the gen 1's... but it was made optional for the gen 2's... if a gen 1(like mine) doesn't have them it's because it was repainted...
Jibs
Hrm. Just went out and looked at my 78 Brat. It doesn't have the Brat logo, but has lettering at the bottom of the sides. Color code is 96, which I couldn't find anywhere, but it appears to be original. Weird.
SUBARU3
The stripes on gen 1s were applied stateside. They are not factory applied. There were various versions on colors and such, as well as some of the kits had more extensive coverage. It was a "Subaru of Amerca" package. Basically the earlier the production date, the more extensive striping. They went with less as the years, thru 1981 continued. Some did get thru without stripes, but very few.
