Phizinza
... what year? It probably is just the fuel pump under the hood working.. Its a electrostatic(?) fuel pump so it can/does tick over really slow. does it tick faster when you have just turned the key for the first time in the morning? Prospeeder
sorry, its an 88 Subaru XT Turbo 4WD. I dont think it has anything to do with the fuel pump, i can hear the pump run, and its not corresponding with the ticking at all
GoldDiggerRoo
I used to have a wagon that did this also, '84 GL 2wd. Don't know what caused it, but never seemed to hurt anything. What is this fuel pump under the hood you speak of? All of mine have been under the car....
Subarutex
Does the ticking go away when the car is running? Sounds like it could be the check connectors are plugged in. Find the ECU, and locate the 2 green small connectors, they should NOT be plugged in.
