Jerry DeMoss
There are a few people on here that have done the 5sp d/r swap.I believe you will need to build some mounting brackes,or I know that there is a guy on here who makes a kit to do it.Lots of good info on here for what you are trying to do.Good luck. NorthWet
Yes, the EA81-series (and earlier) came with a dual-range 4-speed transmission. I could not tell you what the external differences are; sorry.
GeneralDisorder
4 speed is longer than the 5, and heavier. GD

MSSLGECKO
There is also an AWD D/R 5 spd that came in some EA82T models (rear lsd included).
DIRAVI
So, most probably my D/R is 4sp. I shold try to get an 5sp D/R from an EA82 car. The LSD rear whold be nice, but mayby not so easy to find. Are tere any FT4WD with Center Difflock, i prefer to be able to lock the center diff, or have a on/of style 4WD. If i get a Tranny from an EA82T car, what neds to be done whit the axels? 23/25 splines an so.
