Old School Meet! Wyoming/Colorado guys and gals! Sept. 23rd, 2006

Recommended Posts

Ok here's the official thread for an old school meet for the Wyoming/Colorado guys and gals. Lets set a date, not too far into fall due to school starting for some people, snow for me, etc. I'm free any weekend, and usually have holidays off. We also have to come up with someplace to get together, things to do, etc. We can possibly bet together at a smaller park (unlike Redrocks) that has a bar-b-que pit and do burgers and hotdogs, BYOB if you're not driving, you know, stuff like that. Maybe if we're lucky we can get some other midwestern guys out this way to have a get together like a Midwest meet. What do you guys think? Maybe have an overnight type deal out camping? I know of a few places where we can go camping up this way which aren't too far from Laramie (up on the summit about 15 miles from town) with gravel roads and its cool to camp out that way. Time for the ideas and dates!

Depending on the amount of people if we just want to hang out and do a Barb-Q I will offer up my house for it. Have a huge driveway, so plenty of parking and decent backyard to hang out in. Those who have been to my place know it. If it gets to big we could always migrate down to the fairgrounds if nothing is going on when we have it. Things should be slowing down at work for me so any Saturday shouldn't be a problem.

on a side note if we don't do it Labor Day weekend I may run the lifted rig up to slaughter house and Bailey area for some playtime if anyone wants to join

I'd love too if we can get a little closer to the border between states possibly. I know Denver's not that far and there are more of you guys down that way, I'm just limited with time and 2hrs there and back just burns up too much time. The summit area between Laramie and Cheyenne although close to me has some good camping and trails I believe. I might even be able to convince the wife to drive one of the family so I can show off two:rolleyes: . Thats if two are running. oooh....oo.. I do have two running a T-coupe and a Wagon:banana: .

Thats a good idea, that means he's coming to Laramie (at least thats where his car is at). Shawn is right though, if his collection is anything like the little coupe he picked up, then he's got some nice stuff,That 75 dl is immaculate.Very nice to say the least.

I'll be in something, don't know what yet. If someone wants to come up and give me a hand with my RX before I part it out, I'd probably take that. If not, maybe ride with Bill and bring my mountain bike...

You should just tow your car down here and I'll get it running for you.

i'd help but the death wedge wouldn't make and i lack experance

also do we have a definate date set yet?

No we don't. No one is willing to committ to a date, and we don't even really have a for sure place to meet (though DrKrazy did offer?)

Yea seems we ARE the worst bunch on this board as far as getting together, setting dates, etc. My offer is a standing offer for any Saturday (could do a Sunday afternoon also) that I'm not working and the wife is cool with, which should be most weekends. I do have to work a few hours on the 9th in the morning as we expand into some new space, so not sure that will work. My house isn't an exciting place or anything but hey does it really matter with a bunch of subes sitting outside?

Sounds like fun. I can do Saturdays pending any big natural catastrophes in the nation (catastrophe adjuster). --E
