SSC
Hey all havent had many issues with the car as of late, trans is working good still and the timing belt tensioner is still in place. Ive now deceided to tackle a vibration problem that is very noticeable above 55. It feels like a bent rim so I swaped the wheels around every which direction with no luck. One would think the tire place would have noticed a bent rim when they did the ballance so thats out.... I guess. I was told since this car has an aftermarket CV shaft on the PS front that it can be 180* and cause a vibration since one aftermarket CV will fit either side? Does this sound like a possibility or should I keep looking? The vibration does not dissapate at speed in nutral either. Thanks :-\ Clint

tcspeer
If you have a full size spare replace one tire and wheel at a time and try it after each change you may have a belt seperated on one of the tires. Andyjo
I have/had that same exact problem i'm going to put some money on your brakes... specifically 1 pad, and 1 side of the rotor. I JUST checked out mine... and one side was all good (both sides of one rotor) but then the pass side, the outside part of the disc looked fine.. but when i pulled off the rear pad, i found that the rotor does a sort of \_________/ thing... and it's causing a mighty fine vibration, at 50-55+ So, new rotor for me, and it'll be fixed.(and pads)
