GoldDiggerRoo
Would every sube owner here disown me if I ened up painting my brat this color? I'm an old school mopar guy, always have been and I fell in love with this color years ago, I almost painted my '70 Charger with it. It is 1970 only color, FM3 panther pink for dodge moulon rouge for plymouth. I'm think this color with white interior, flat black brat lettering and stripe. Whadaya think? I mean, it was orginally gold, and besides the fact I hate gold and it's always been a bad luck color for me... I gotta go with something else whenever the time comes. 75subie
i`m not a pink man myself, but that would probly look pretty sharp with the stripes and some mag wheels. maybe black out all the chrome. gold with satin black stripes is also sharp. GoldDiggerRoo
funny you should say that, because in the next few weeks I'm gonna prime it black with a pink brat stripe (possibily) or white, I can't take the tan anymore....heard too many jokes about it being peachy-keen in the past few weeks

GLCraig
If you're going to paint it pink, it better be STI pink.
bryanthompson
Some cars are like super-models. They have a confidence and non-traditional beauty that lets them wear anything and look good. The Xterra is one of those cars. So is the Brat. At Nissan a few years back, we had an Xterra done up in pink to support a breast cancer fund-raiser. Pink is controversial but the positive response to the painted car was overwhelming. You couldn't drive that car without being asked "Where can I get one?" (see pics) If you like it, go for it. The car will look great and you'll have fun. link: http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/photos/showphoto.php?photo=12616&cat=500&ppuser=19119
Bucky92
Since I love the color Pink I would go for it..just offset it with enough black though. Heck if I actually had money I wanted to buy a Pink Baja,,If I thought my Loyale would look right I would paint it pink too (Poor Bucky wouldnt be too happy though) I had my 71 Mach 1 Mustang painted Grabber green and Black ..it looked awesome..I am not a Mopar person but they did have some of the best colors in muscle

GoldDiggerRoo
Things are still in the idea stage now, but honestly I could only see the Brat in one of two colors, pink or this dark emerald green that comes on the Pontiac G6 (really nice cars BTW, I'd trade my RS for a GTP in a second). I'm currently working at a rental car place and totally dig the green with black stripe idea. As far as other colors I'm nto much into red and I've seen a lot of 1st gen that color, gold is a no go, not going to make it nice enough to do black (no a/c either), my wagon will likely end up white, lime green is the popular opinion but it's a bit much. I could do WRBlue but I dunno, I really like the idea of the pink or the green. Glad to see that the pink supporters are the majority though! Only time will tell...but pink would match the pink rally pig decal that went on the back window last night
eyesore
Gotta love those old Mopar colors. I like the Sub-Lime idea. (or Sassy Grass. It's less limey, more grass green, but still eye-searing. ) Or possibly Statutory Grape or Plum Crazy. 'Course a nice Hemi Orange with black is good too. If you don't like "peachy keen" jokes, you're not going to like Pink jokes much either.

moosens
Yellow,THE BEST safety color for visibility. Many intelligent motorcyclist(the fast guys, not the fat guys) use yellow in some way. .....come on man, don't go pink.
Seahag1978
Not to knock the pink... it's just TOO Mopar for a foreign car... totally wrong and you'll probably get ridiculed by the Mopar guys Yellow is better suited. This is mine. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/photos/showphoto.php?photo=1349&cat=500&ppuser=5798 Emerald nor Lime Greens... not great colors for a BRAT... a bright blue (WRB) or Bright Red would be better choices. Oh, lose the double flat black stripes... BRATS need to be bright and happy, but not American muscle car wannabes They can carry their own weight, stick to the primary colors. GoldDiggerRoo
you'll probably get ridiculed by the Mopar guys Yellow is better suited. I've always been ridiculed by the Mopar guys, even when I had them.... I kinda like it As much as I'd like to I can't do WRBlue... the only other first gen Brat in town is a blue very similar to WRB and he's got his rear wheels flipped inside out... never wanna be confused with that guy. Can't do red wither, it's bad luck and would look too much like Starsky and Hutch..... I have a S&H Torino for that look. White will go on my wagon after it's lifted, so it'll likely be either dark green or yellow for the brat in all honesty. It depends what I do with the Brat, I've got several people who are trying to talk me into swapping in the engine and trans from my 280Z or doing an EJ swap. Who knows

smillar
It's a classic look that would go well with a brat. No harm in picking up a color chart. Why limit yourself. You should bet the BRAT logo painted on the side in black though. If not because it looks cool, so people quit asking what it is. I think I'm going with blue and orange matt finish for my next brat paint. So my maybe my opinion isn't the best.

Yeah, whatever color it ends up, it's getting a matte black brat logo, I really can't see it any other way. I did have a lady at 7-11 the other day say "Hey, that's a Brat!" when I pulled up, so atleast one person knows what it is. As for the orange and blue, I can dig it... famous color combo, looks good too... dunno if I'd go matte, but to each his own.
soloracer34
FWIW as a guy who grew up on old mopars (how cool was is being picked up from school in first grade in a 69 GTX in Bahama blue with blackout hood , the body color stripe down the middle and the orange air grabber intakes) I Say go with the high impact colors, the Panther Pink would be very cool on a Brat as would Lime green with the black stripe and for grins blackout the center of the hood too. I'm currently on an orange kick as my lifted wagon may one day become Land Rover G4 orange with a black or dark blue stripe on the side and a blackout hood. Whatever you decide - Post Pics!
