TurboTbird
I'm planning on doing some tune-ups to my 95 legacy LS with 66k on the odometer. I changed to a K&N panel filter, I want to change the plugs and wires, and change the fluids. I want NGK plugs. is there a good part number or type for them? What about wires? I also use mobil 1 for oil, what should I use for the tranny, rear, etc.? Thanks for the help, I searched for some of this stuff already... porcupine73
Hi TurboTbird, plugs are probably BKR6E-11 or check out ngksparkplugs.com Wires you could go OE or aftermarket are available, depends on what price you want to pay and what you're looking for. If you like Mobil1 engine oil, you could try Mobil1 synthetic ATF, it worked well for me. Diff gear oils there's some threads that say not to use Mobil1 synthetic gear oil in Subaru diff's due to some potential incompatibility in the metals. amsoil makes a nice synthetic atf and gear oils too. You need to think about the timing belt, as the age is determined by 1000 miles a month, so even though your mileage is low. 80,000 miles is 80 months for example. PCV valve should be OE. New T stat (oe) and radiator cap. New coolant. OE airfilter or name brand is the best in all truthfullness. WHen in doubt about lubricant, use name brand for the diffs. nipper
