biffanyus
Hi. Some of you might remember me. I havent been posting a while since Ive moved to FL. I sold a couple of my Brats(along with half my life) in Dec of last year for real low prices, when I was still in Ohio. I sold an 82 and a 78. The 78 went to Skip. How is she by the way? I would love to buy her back If your selling Skip. Im looking soon to get a nice Gen 1 Brat any year any color(if any). I would just like it to be fairly rust free and in good running condition. Any in FL on the board that have Gen 1 Brats? Im in West Palm Beach. I could use any help or DONATIONS would be appreciated. Thanks, Tommy... DerFahrer
If you're looking to buy another GenI, then you moved to the wrong state my friend I have seen 5 GenI cars in FL, in person, in my whole life. Only two have been wagons (mine and a red one, early 70's, and that was at least 7-8 years ago), the rest have been Brats. One was Seahag's Brat, which was for sale in a used car lot that was literally a 30 second walk from my house, and another one that I see driving around every once in a while. Then there's Machine Age Victim, who's in your area, with his GenI wagon.

MachineAgeVictim
yeah it was off haverhill but tires weren't flat when I got it, it did have the spare on because of a slow leak, the guy I bought it from said he bought it from a neighbor, that could have been who was trying to sell it before
biffanyus
Cool. I was checking it out and asking the guy about it that lived in that 2 story building back there where it was. He gave me a # but I never called cause I was in no position to buy yet. How is it?? Does it run well? Are you driving it now or does it need work? If you dont mind asking, how much did you get it for??? Sorry for being nosey about it. Just curious. Tommy...
MachineAgeVictim
That must have been the guy that had it before heres a couple vids, I did a little work to it just for fun, but it runs good except for a little hesitation, I paid $900 for it (and I just paid $900 for my '98 Legacy wagon ) http://www.youtube.com/profile?user=MachineAgeVictim

coylethebarbarian
Hey Tommy, I bought your '82 Brat-It's stored in a garage to keep her from rusting anymore until I get into serious body work...I'm still looking for a driver's side door, The problem with the hood latch turned out to be the hinge being rusted apart and I'm on the lookout for another hinge/hood that will work, and it seems the clutch is going out...not a big deal to fix the clutch, I have just been searching for a door & hood hinge to fit it in my area with no luck....few Brats in Ky! I've been spending most of my time working on my '86 Brat because it was driving well...I'm making JY runs this weekend to the KY/Tenn border and down into Tenn to some Yards (4 total) that I know have older soobs...hopefully I can turn up a driver door for the '82!
