i was puting a new CD player in my car and when i was doing that i had to cut

the wires and hook it up to the new one and when i reconnected the battery a lil bit of smoke came out of the spot where the radio was and than i was looking and i saw one of the wires was touching the

metal frame thing and i think i fuse went out on it but i cant find the blown fuse any where and now the radio doent work and the dome light doent work and i was wondering if some one might know what happened

that is why you just buy the adapter 12 dollars is not alot to ask for peace of mind about your electrical...

try taking out the stereo and if that fixes it then you know its there. you said none of your fusea are blown? make sure your battery is disconnected while you are f-en with it. it shold be obvious where the smoke came from

i all ready try taking out the radio and i went to 3 stores looking for one of the adapter thing and all the places i went to didnt have one that fit it and i

replaced all of the fuses so i know 100% that its not a fuse and it still didnt work after i replaced em so i dont know what it is and the battery was disconnected but when i hooked it back up you saw a lil bit of smoke come out from where the radio was

yeah i looked at both of tham and put all new fusse's in tham

Maybe u melted a wire somewhere, u sure u didnt blow the radio, and the dome lights? Mix the - and + something odd to shorten out , but the fuse should have protected it anyway. Dont know what to say man. Maybe a good mechanic can help u out, to bad we get thing and always wana rush, and we screw things up.
