WoodsWagon
I'd say no by the lack of response. You can use the clutch disk out of any EJ push type clutch in an EA82 clutch. The biggest hurdle is the pressure plate beaing weak.
GeneralDisorder
The XT6 clutch is plenty strong. There's a member that recently posted about a race clutch that he installed. I think it was a kevlar material. Do a search. GD
MTSuby
I put a center force clutch in my Toyota Pickup and liked it. Grips better on steep off road hills & such. I think if you're doing a lot of offroading, it's not a bad idea to get something stronger than a stock clutch, but...people seem to have gotten along just fine without them, so.. Keep us updated, I'm interested in a stronger clutch, but was leaning towards a WRX unit.
mcbrat
I had my 5 speed d/r flywheel turned to XT6 specs, and bought a xt6 pressure plate and clutch. the XT6 pressure plate is a lot heavier built with more holding power.... works really good.... Ginger48
A large electrical contractor I worked for used metallic clutches in all their vehicles. Don’t know if they are still available but they did work great.
