carfreak85
So whats the scoop? Can we get these? I would get Superlites but I don't like the ten spokes.
Sweet82
I called American Racing, among many others, early on in my quest for custom Subaru rims. They wouldn't do it. I had these custom made by a company in Denver. My size, my width and my off-set and they did the rest. The center is around a 1/2 thick steel. They are exactly true. They were $380 for the set (4). That may have included shipping but I don't remember. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/photos/showphoto.php?photo=4967&cat=500&ppuser=584 I'd bet 14" or 15" could be produced at that price or less with a group buy? and they are "local". Just a thought:rolleyes: Glenn, 82 SubaruHummer--12" X 9" custom rims.
zyewdall
Yeah, Denver's really local to me. Half inch thick steel sounds a bit heavy... considering my truck rims are maybe 1/4" thick steel. What do yours weigh? Z
Sweet82
The center could be 3/8? The guy assumed they were for a rock crawler. I don't know what they weigh. I've never really cared. They don't seem any heavier than any other rims?
tallwelder81
id be interested if i can get some 15x6. for my offroad brat, 1982. the old turbine style rims are nice. i dont exactly know the names of many rim styles, but i know american racong makes those ansen sprints, they would look great i think, and also be very durable. i actually already own some 17x8s from american racing for my 67 riviera. they are great rims. if i could get some 14x6 or 15x6, id love to grab em up. does anyone know how well a 195-60-15 fits a brat on 15x6? Twitch de la Brat
Good Job at searching. Well, this thread died off, but a new prospect was brought up. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=102771 Thank you Quidam. They're ATV rims, but are rated for about a 1000lbs a piece, so they could handle a Suby with all the necessary gear. Hope it helps Twitch
