edrach
A neighbor recently got a nice 4WD hatch for his young son to use as his daily driver. My neighbor doesn't know much about Subarus but was impressed with my obvious love of them (5 sitting in our driveway). Anyway, I thought I'd get him a copy of How to Keep Your Subaru Alive by Larry Owens. I found one for a reasonable price on Amazon's used book section. It came yesterday. As I tore open the padded envelope, my heart sank; it was a hard-cover book. Oh shoot, I thought, they sent the wrong book. No, to my surprise, it was a hard-cover copy of HTKYSA! I've never seen a hard copy version of it before. Anyone else have one by chance? Now I'm debating keeping it for future speculation because of its rarity. It was originally a library book from Longmont, CO. They released it in 2000 to a used book dealer. It's in pretty decent shape although it's obviously been used. Now I've got to look for another copy.

msteel
I've never seen a hard copy version of it before...It was originally from a library... I have seen books in libraries that have been "converted" from paperback to hardback. I don't know if they rebind them, or have some other process to put a hard cover on. The ones I've seen have had the original paperback cover glued onto the front of the cloth-style hard cover.
wesley willis
the library at my college rebinds books. they basically cut off the front and back cover, get a hard cover the same size, and reglue. i have a copy of htkysa on my computer, and have attempted multiple times to obtain the book off ebay but just resulted in failure. kudos to whoever transfered the text to an acrobat document.
