gel
I recently had my 98 Outback in the tire shop for service and they found a metal bar resting on the axle. It wasn't attached to anything but it is threaded on both ends. The technician said that he wasn't sure if it was a part of the car that dropped out of the engine compartment or not. I've looked over the car and can't figure where it came from. Can anyone help me identify it? If not, I guess I'll try to get it over to my Subaru dealer and ask. Thanks! svxpert
that is the support that holds the air intake assembly after the maf. it should connect to the top of the transmission.
gel
Thanks! It's been driving me crazy trying to figure out what this thing was. Is this something that I should be able to attach myself or am I going to need the dealer or mechanic to fix? I'm handy enough if I can easily get to the area where it mounts. Not sure how much stuff will be in the way.
