MTSuby
Ok I did a search and I'm confused. Depending on who you ask, the bleeding sequence is very different...So what's the correct bleeding sequence? I'm replacing my rear brakes and cylinders. Does that require that I bleed? Or am I Ok? I'd like to replace the fluid, but if I don't have to bleed doing the brake & cylinder work and it's that much of a pain in the #$5, I guess I'd maybe rather skip it. 87 EA82 wagon Thanks! cubastreet
Yes, you need to bleed brakes every time you open the hyraulics. Rule of thumb for bleeding is to bleed the wheel farthest from the brake master cylinder first, and the one next to the master cylinder last. Doing this means that no bubbles can get trapped. So, for a LHD vehicle it would be RR, LR, RF, LF.
Phizinza
I've done it by the manual and I have done it randomly. And I have found that it makes no difference which wheel you bleed in whatever sequence on my EA81. I forgot the sequence for a EA82, but I know it's different to an EA81... One tip, bleed your master cylinder first. It has two bleed nipples just like the brake ones on it I think.
