nveilleux
Read a post some time ago about this topic. I am going to replace car battery on 2002 Outback Wagon. Security system is the factory Alpine Remote System. How do I reset the security system once new battery is connected? I heard that the parking lights will stay on or flash until reprogramed. porcupine73
Can you check the owner's manual; I would imagine that would say what to do. I'm not sure what would have to be reprogrammed. I had battery out of my '00OBW for three months and the security system remembered my settings, remotes still worked, and was still in valet mode just like it was before I disconnected the battery
later, Peter
in my 96 & 99 OBWs (alpine also?) reconnect new battery. Start your engine. while running find that cute little button hanging down by your left foot. Push it... all while the engine is running.... all the beeps & flashing lights & check engine lights will go away. Later, Peter
